Progress

Thanks to all the encouragment regarding the puzzle, I decided to take another stab at it today, and was pleasantly surprised to put together some pieces on a fairly steady basis. I still have a ways to go and don't know how much time I'll be spending on it, but will post the finished picture when it is completed..Lord willing.

Here's some pictures of our snow, maybe 6" total.

Bird prints.

Off my back porch. It looked like someone had strewn diamonds in the yard-just beautiful!

Wagon wheel.

Upside down Flicker.

I went out yesterday and drove around taking pictures of the snow. Enjoy!

Woohoo, it's still coming down!

Finally, some snow, YES!

This is the most snow we've had this season, and I'm so thankful for it. I could sit and watch it coming down for hours, I think. The beauty of it just does something to me.

I don't know what's with the dates on these, I thought I had set it properly. These were taken today, the 27th.

Brrrr!

Two cardinals and a blue jay.

PUZZLED!!!!!!

I got another puzzle out today but I'm not sure if I'll finish it or not. I've never worked on one quite like this before and though I have put some, (less than a dozen) pieces together, I don't hardly know where to go with it. There's big pieces and very small pieces, a few straight sides, some rounded ones and some curved ones. The border is not straight but points and curls! We shall see. I might not have the patience to finish it.

It's a pretty puzzle-now if I can just piece it together.

Faith's bridal shower

My nephew is getting married Valentine's day, and his fiancees shower was Saturday. Thought I'd share a few pictures with you.

My daughter was displaying the items for a game we played. As she held them up and told where they were bought, we were supposed to write down the price that we thought she had paid for them.

Some of the guests.

One of the games we played, was that everyone was supposed to write something down on a piece of paper, but you could only see the line that was written before yours. This is my niece Dacia, reading the finished story to us. Funny!!

Another game we played, we were supposed to write our names on a piece of paper, then write something that we would like to see Faith do. THEN, after we turned them in, Faith was called to the front to read them, but WE had to do what we put down for Faith to do. This got QUITE funny!!!!! Here is my niece trying to balance her cell phone on her nose-and she got it done! One lady had to run around the room a couple times, one had to take three giant steps, then four baby steps. We didn't make the one who wanted Faith to stand on her head(like her grandpa-to-be used to do), do it. She was able to bend over and put her palms on the floor though-I couldn't have done that.

Visiting.

Opening gifts. My niece Janae did the recording.

My daughter-in-law, holding a sweet little fellow. He almost always has a happy smile on his face.

Faith put some of the decorations on Colin.

My brother-in-law, and nephew-in-law, partaking of the refreshments.

While we cleaned up, Lance amused himself with all the balloons.

I liked the look of the sun shining through the balloons.

Wednesday evening

Grandma's sweetheart!

Future pianist.

SO sweet!

I finished another puzzle tonight. I started it last Sat. night, just did the sorting and put the frame together, then got probably a fourth of it done Sun. afternoon, then have worked on it off and on since. It was much easier than the T.K. I usually stick in a CD to listen to while working on them, right now I'm listening to the "Down Gilead Lane" series put out by CBH Ministries. Can't remember if I've mentioned them on here before or not, but if you have young'uns, they would really enjoy them.

The cold weather is back. After two warm days, we are now freezing again. I wish we had some snow to make it enjoyable!

Happy Birthday, Mom Baber

Yesterday was my beautiful mother-in-laws birthday. I don't know the author of this verse, but we used to say it for the Sunday School birthdays at Buena Park.

Many happy returns, of the day of thy birth,
May sunshine, and gladness be given;
May the dear Father, prepare thee on earth,
For a beautiful birthday in Heaven.

Some scriptures that came to me, they may not all be exactly right because I didn't look them up, please overlook any mistakes.

The prayer of my heart.
Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer!

The Lord is my Sheperd, I shall not want.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his Holy name.

Isn't He good to us? Don't you just love Him? I do!

Christmas in Kansas

Grandma and Grandpa working in the kitchen.

Grandpa carved the two turkeys. The white breast meat is on the sides with the dark meat in the middle.

Our Christmas dinner, with Mom and Dad and us girls and part of our families. Not all the grandchildren were there on the 25th.

Part of the spread.

The two tables spread the next day.

Part of the clean-up crew.
