I finished my puzzle today, here's the finished product!

I'm afraid my "stable" is pretty crude-but you get the idea.

It seems I cannot get my night photos as sharp as I'd like, no matter how hard I try.

Some more pictures of the birds from the other day. Do you see all four cardinals?

I love the decorations with the snow on them.

My hall, decorated for Christmas.

Part of my living room.

These didn't turn out very well, but I took them to show you the glaze of ice we have right now. It has been raining on top of the snow and ice we had before, and freezing, so it is terribly slick out there right now. My vehicle was sliding coming down our lane, and my feet about went out from under me a couple times. It's supposed to be in the 40's tomorrow though, so it will probably all melt away.

It's Snowing!

Rolling out of bed not long ago, I became energized when I saw the snow. I went out and took this picture, still in my flannel pj's and house shoes(no immediate neighbors to see me-a benefit of living in the country).

What you see when you come inside.

These aren't real clear, because they were taken through my kitchen window with the screen in between. Poor little birdies, I need to go out and give them some more, as the food in the feeders is frozen I'm afraid.

I could put a picture of the mouse I trapped overnight on here, but I decided to spare you. I could hear him in there last night, but never saw him. I warned him different times he should get out, and he didn't listen, so....too bad. I gave him to my cats, but they didn't seem too interested. I'd already taken the fun out of it. First I put sticky traps out, but I don't know if the gel was too cold to be spongy enough for them to stick-not long after setting it out, I heard a noise and found it knocked off the shelf I'd put it on, you could see where he'd stepped on it, but it didn't hold him. Hence, more drastic measures.

I didn't plan on letting so much time go by before I blogged, but the days have flown by and gotten away from me. What have I been doing? Babysitting, shopping, decorating, cooking, cleaning, reading, etc... I've hardly been on the computer lately. For relaxation in the evenings, I've been working on a puzzle, which I love doing. I'll put Christmas music on, or a book CD in, and sit there for hours sometimes.

Today I've hardly been outside, it is very cold, in the teens. We had freezing rain and sleet last night, and tomorrow we're supposed to get some snow-which I enjoy. Really, I wish it would snow about a foot or two, then stay cold enough to not melt for awhile.

I am enjoying the Christmas season, the music, the lights, the traditions. I love the way the lights look against the snow, staying cozy indoors, drinking hot chocolate, the soft glow of candles and their wonderful scents, being with friends and family. I am so thankful that Jesus was willing to come to earth as a babe, and for the peace and joy that He gives! I love Him!

My Christmas village.

I thought Lance would enjoy this train, and he does. He's very good about not touching, just watching.

Eating string cheese, I keep a supply on hand for him.

Happy Birthday, Bev!

Her birthday was the 9th, sorry I failed to get it on here sooner!

Happy Birthday Esther!
