Kittens

I knew my cat had had kittens a few weeks ago, but I'd never laid eyes on them until after we'd gotten back last week. There are four of them, two a lot alike, one white with orange points on ears and tail, and one orange with white on it's ruff and stomach. Long-haired and blue eyes. Well, the orange one's eyes look blue sometimes to me, and other times they don't. Aren't they beautiful?

Independence Day in Independence

After the reunion, I left July 2nd and went to Mom and Dad's. Joanne, David, Dacia and Jason came the 4th. That evening we went to the park and rode the train and watched the fireworks.

David and Jason left Sunday, Valerie and Lance came Monday, Joanne, Janae and Dacia left Thursday, the 15th Valerie and Lance flew home, and Amaris, Andrew, Zola and I drove home. Monday night the family that was around, went to the park for a picnic and to see the animals and ride the rides.

I barely caught this. As we rode the train, we saw Andrew down on his knees looking in the bushes for his lost golf ball. (he's in the background)

Reunion

Wow, where do I start? It's been a long time since I've gotten anything posted.

We had a very nice Finley family reunion on the 28th of June. I had worked hard the two weeks previous, and was very pleased with how everything turned out. It was a beautiful day and relatives from CA, KY, IL, MN, etc... were here, I was told the number was probably in the 60's.

Just after we all had arrived, there were two Bluejays making a terrible racket, and we noticed that a big snake was in their nest eating the eggs. It eventually came down, wandered around the yard and went up another tree.
